When I was growing up the only way my mom would make a turkey was in an oven bag. I don't really care for turkey, but I must admit that the bag at least made it tolerable. I have totally rediscovered oven bags!!! On a whim I bought a whole chicken last week and got one of those seasoning packages that comes with an oven bag. OMG! It was sooooo good! So this last weekend when I went shopping they had pork and beef roasts on sale so I got seasoning packages/bags for them too. We had the pork roast last night and it was perfect. Juicy and tender and really well tasting. I was impressed. AND they were cheap! It was like $1.25 for the bag and seasoning packet. #yay# Angie

Weee!! I haven't tried one of those in a long while. I even have a couple in the pantry... just never have used them! Wonder if the seasoning packets go bad? hmmm

So, the seasoning packets come with the bags? What aisle do I find these things in?

Emily's Mom, the name brand is McCormick Bag n' Season. But both local supermarkets have their own off brands.

My FIL swears by oven bags and keeps us well stocked in them since when he comes to cook he leaves a package and never uses the leftovers LOL. I have used them on pork chops since I always seem to get dried our porkies otherwise, perfect solution!!!

I'm definitely going to the grocery store and trying this. Thanks for the tip. Do they come w/ different flavor seasoning packets? Do you buy different ones for different meat (like one for chicken, one for beef, one for pork)?
