Okay, not really a recipe question, but food related. My mom has been really sick. She needs a specialized diet, so I've been searching the web and found some casserole-type recipes. I'd like to seperate it into 1-2 serving sizes and fill up her freezer with food. So I need smallish (2-4 cup or so) containers that can go from freezer to microwave. Preferably cheap so I can buy a whole bunch and rotate (she lives two hours away so I only get there every 1-2 weeks). Any ideas???

I believe Gladware would do the trick. They sell containers that go from freezer to microwave. They're disposable but you can wash and reuse. www.glad.com/containers.htmlThat's what I used for my mom when I had to do something similar. Most stores now carry their own brand of the same thing that runs cheaper. I hope your mom is feeling better soon.

#yeah# I agree totally. go to Walmart, they have them cheap and in the sizes that would work for you. I have those sizes for leftovers and then DD can take some if she wants and it's the perfect size for her.
