The last couple of weeks I've been in a sewing mood. I made two cootie covers and three dress up skirts for my neighbor's 4y/o's birthday this week. I also made, just this morning, in less than an hour, two pairs of pajama pants for the kids. (no pictures). cootie cover #1 cootie cover #2 skirts

Speaking as a mom of a 5 year old girl, the neighbor girl will LOVE what you made her!
Looks great!

You are very crafty! I'm impressed at the "cootie covers". I thought about making one, but then I just went out and bought one because I thought it was too complicated.

thanks everyone. the cootie covers were so easy to make i couldn't beleive it myself. each one took about 90 minutes... I bought the pattern before eden could sit up by herself... and put it down and thought i would eventually get to it... i thought it would be too complicated to do. When i finally got the pattern out and got it together i couldn't beleive it. the first one i made was from left over fabric i had in the house... it was just something to do. the second one, the pink one, i made because i wanted one specifically for eden. I'm going to have to look at ebay and see how much they are selling for - i think i could make these and sell them. It would be fun. btw - my neighbor's daughte LOVED the skirts. she especially likes the blue one with the beads on the bottom. She wears them all the time. - she is a dress up queen as it is - but now she just gets out of her pj's in the morning and puts on a "princess skirt" I think that's the best compliment to my sewing!
